Sports Management Trainee





Primary Purpose

Sports Trainee must be passionate and motivated towards successful sports programmes and activities at the NOC Kenya, is expected to maintain a high level of coordination, communication and adapt to the changing needs of the members and trends in the field.


Duties and responsibilities


  • Keeping a data base of Elite athletes at Senior and Youth Level

  • Keeping records of all Federations Sports Program

  • Coordinating Local Sports Programs

  • Maintaining a record of performance by athletes and Federations

  • Coordinating Games Qualification Programs

  • Manage Olympic and Commonwealth Games activities at national and local levels.

  • Coordinate programmes of Athletes Entourage Commission.

  • Develop pipeline of sports events, communicate to all relevant stakeholders and ensure timely implementation of key actions.

  • Providing technical assistance in the implementation of the Olympic Solidarity programmes for various sports.



  • A Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Sports Science /Physical Education, Marketing or any related field



  • 0-1-year experience in the sport development field, with experience from grassroots to high performance sport.



  • Excellent communication, organisational and administrative skills.

  • An ability to work as a team member.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Knowledge of computers and software applications as related to sports
